Social Media Platform Differences - How to Use Each Site

There are many social media platform differences between the two most popular, but there are also some similarities. First of all, both sites have thousands of users who post and comment on their pages every single day. Both social media platforms are free to use, although the functionality on each may vary slightly. Facebook has more members and therefore has more potential customers, but Twitter may be growing faster due to its easy-to-use and quick application.

The key differences between the two platforms lie in how easy or hard they are to use. For example, on Twitter, you can simply send a message, and on Instagram, you must first take a picture with your phone, upload it to your Instagram account, and then send it from there. This means that people with Twitter backgrounds are far less visible on Instagram since the user would have to click on the picture and move their mouse to the save button. Facebook on the other hand has several different settings that need to be chosen in order to get everything to upload properly, which makes it very difficult for people to use.

There are many other differences as well, but those were the two biggest ones for me. If you plan on using either social media platform, you will want to familiarize yourself with the basic functions so that you know exactly how to use whatever it is you want to use it for. Also, both sites offer several applications that you can download that are fun and useful. On Facebook, for example, you can create groups with friends, send messages, and add new pictures to your profile at any time. On Twitter, you can send short messages about current events, retweet any tweets you may see, and go to Instagram and tag friends to show your Instagram account off. Both sites are great for showcasing your pictures and spreading information about your business or just sharing your personality.
